Girl

Her smile is radiant
And her voice so sweet.
She will dance through your dreams
And tuck you in to sleep.

She brings joy to your eyes
As you gaze upon her face.
She lifts up your spirits
Like your saving grace.

She is sweet perfection
A beauty in all her ways.
She is the brightest star
Deserving all your praise.

She is the girl you wanted
The girl to love and care.
That girl she isn't me,
I'm not the one so fair.

Ocean Coloured Eyes

I can't look you in the eyes
Without getting lost in your gaze
The gaze of your ocean coloured eyes.

I see myself so clearly
So deeply
So fully
When you look and see me
When you hold me
Kiss me

When you whisper sweet nothings in my ears

The sound of your voice
Filling every ounce of me
Every part of me
Through me and in me

You fulfill me in every way.

You touch me gently
And gently I feel my body tremble
Trembling and shaking
To get closer to you
To hold you
To feel more of your soft touches

You look at me longingly.
You smile.
I smile.

And once again I am completely lost
Lost in the gaze of your ocean coloured eyes.

White Nights

She remembers summer nights
Of pirate ships and golden castles
She remembers the grand balls
And the shiny glass slippers

She dreams of white horses
With long flowing manes
She dreams of her prince
Who will come to take her away

She sings of her sorrows
The pain that she feels
She sings of her memories
Of times that were real

She cries to herself
When she's alone in her bed
She cries to the world
Afraid of what lies ahead

She wishes on stars
To return to the past
She wishes that you
Will finally be her last

She longs for those summers
Of mermaids and fairies.
She longs to be someone's
Truly happy and merry.

She wants you to love her
With all of your heart.
To take her and make her
To never depart.

Between Cotton

Your skin pressed against mine
My hands wrapped around yours
Gentle kisses welcoming the morning sun

In secret we lay entwined
Tucked away between cotton
As the world passes us by

The weight of your motion
Catches me by surprise
Still eagerly I wait for more

Pulling me closer
Yet closer I yearn
To feel the length of your full embrace

This, a written account,
Written about a girl.
She's faced with these decisions,
Always faced with the whole world.

Her life so many have lived,
So many have overcome.
But she's too weak to see,
and too young to become.

She's so ready to let go,
So ready to make it end.
Too much pain in the past,
Too many wounds won't mend.

This, a written account,
Written about a boy.
He's faced with all her hurt,
The hurt he wants to destroy.

His life he's greatly overcame,
His past he leaves behind.
He looks happily to the future,
With the girl he's so entwined.

He's so ready to move on,
So ready to start a new.
So much now to look forward to,
So much past he will undo.

This, a written story,
Written for the two.
Together they'll stand forever,
Forever with love so true.

He's opened her eyes,
The way she opened his.
This story may seem fictional,
But it's how it really is.

Untitled Poem of my Heart

This was a song I wrote

--------------

To my undying love that will never fade
This is my poem to you
Too long have I walked these streets of sorrow
Or run across these fields of pain
Forever drifting through endless hurt
Until the day that I found you

You would do anything for me
All I had to do was ask
So for you I write you this

And this is the untitled poem of my heart
For you alone to read
And through your troubled times you'll see
What you have done for me
And this is the untitled poem of my heart
For you alone to read
Together we'l make it through these times
To take what we will find

To my undying love that will never fade
This is my song to you
For awhile I've walked these endless paths
Searching for something not meant to be found
Until the day I stopped looking for something
That something did find me

You would do anything for me
All I had to do was ask
So for you I write you this

And this is the untitled poem of my heart
For you alone to read
And through your troubled times you'll see
What you have done for me
And this is the untitled poem of my heart
For you alone to read
Together we'll make it through these times
To take what we will find

So unexpectedly you came
Walked right into my life
And when I'm so down that I can't get up
You're always by my side
With you around I never have to worry
For everything is well

You would do anything for me
All I had to do was ask
So for you I write you this

And this is the untitled poem of my heart
For you alone to read
And through your troubled times you'll see
What you have done for me
And this is the untitled poem of my heart
For you alone to read
Together we'll make it through these times
To take what we will find

To my undying love that can never end
This is my song to you
It feels like your always leaving
For time is not our friend
But together we will find a way
To be with each other forever

And this is the untitled poem of my heart
For you alone to read
And through your troubled times you'll see
What you have done for me
And this is the untitled poem of my heart
For you alone to read
Together we'l make it through these times
To take what we will find

I Am From

I am from a place of white,
Sheets so soft,
And lights so bright.

I am from a Timex clock,
Whose years tick by,
And time is locked.

I am from chinese food,
The sweet smell from the kitchen,
The taste is so good.

I am from those who are strong,
Who remember their lives,
And move past all the wrong.

I am from an open book,
With story upon stories,
For all to read, and all to look.

I am from a faded photo,
Of times once enjoyed,
And of a past it once showed.

I am from a happy birth,
Across a vast huge sea,
On the other side of the earth.

I am from "hold on to these moments,"
Every precious little thing,
Every one who's came and went.

I am from the smell of cherries,
So sweet the scent,
Like other small berries.

I am from the sound of tears,
Falling daily to the floor,
Flowing through the years.

I am from the look of others,
A daily comfort,
For those who suffer.

I am from broken dreams,
Through death and lost,
For nothing is what it seems.

The Rain

Oh how it poured that night long ago.
How the rain trickled slowly down my hair.
You tried so hard to keep the unbrella above me,
But you knew too well I love the rain.
Oh how the sky opened up before us.
How beautifully the streets formed rivers.
In all its wonder and all its beauty,
There was nothing more beautiful than you.
You kept me warm with just a smile.
Covered in rain I felt dry in your arms.
No one else out there, just you and me,
Together we walked in the rain.

The Stories We Weave

What a beautiful sight those days were.
Shorts with skirts we sat beneath the sky.
The only thing we saw was the sun.
How brightly it shone down on us.

At night we curled up together.
Under white sheets we looked to the sky.
The only thing we saw was the moon.
How lovely its beams lit through us.

You saw me dance around the trees
You loved me when I danced.
You joined with me in my splender.
Oh how silly we were together.

Do you remember those songs we sang?
While the world passed us by.
We watched it pass with big bright eyes.
Just two stupid kids in a world full of fools.

Time grew short while friendships failed.
We were so dumb but shared so much.
What was it that you used to say?
Always there just like a stone.

These strange lives we lived with stranger stories.
The pain and laughter we all weaved.
How much longer will we endure?
Til life and death joins together as one.

Lost Poem

Locked hair run smooth in pearls of grey.
Sunlight brightens the darkness fade.
Truth be told in lies so sweet.
Memories shared through empty seats.
Droning through just one more day.
Living passes this constant cliché.
Extremities lie where internalities hold.
Lessons taught from times too old.

What A Choice

Choice is a choice is a choice they say.
You can't take that away, no no you can't take it away.
A woman isn't a woman isn't a woman today
Without a choice, that choice, what choice I pray?
To live, to die, to take, to break.
What you carry inside, you can't hide, you suffer the pain.
This choice, one choice, what choice in vain.
Empowering, liberating, your freedom, insane.
You can't fight the stains, not the deep stains
Already ingrained. The memories again and again.
A life for a life, precious balance in your hands.
They dismiss it, they confuse it, they shout across the land,
"Oppression oppression. They do not understand.
Your body, only your body, all at your command."
My body, only my body? Now I don't understand.
If no other, why bother, why worry, why lost?
If only you, no other, would it be worth the cost?

A Gamer's Ballad

I've walked miles on Halo Rings.
Spent nights in the Johto region.
I've fought kings and lost battles
With my royal legions.

I've crossed paths with blue ghost
Forded rivers with my cattle.
I've lived through my death
A thousand times a battle.

With Cain I've identified
And Oak I have learned much.
I've weathered many armies
Through cold that freeze on touch.

I've been transformed to demons
I've been disguised among the saints.
I've broken to many pieces
And awaken when they faint.

I've sang in front of hundreds
And danced alone at night.
Through tunnels and through the clouds
I don't give up the fight.

I've shot and killed many.
My brothers, I'm with thee.
Beautiful music I have made
In my final fantasy.

The cake it was a lie.
Alas, I'm not a pro.
I've reached the end so many times
And still many more to go.

Bitter Taste

I saw you as you wanted me to.
Wrapped up in the sound of your voice.
Your lies felt sweet in its deception.
Too young I was to understand.

A child I was, my innocence threw me
Into your arms. So naive a girl.
Four years of age was all that separated
But your knowledge I did not posses.

You touched me, caressed me, I was but shaken
Pulling back I didn't know what was wrong.
You held me, told me, "Don't be frightened,
This is what you're meant to do."

I wonder some nights if you still remember.
I sit in silence at the thought of your hand.
Using me, abusing me, continuing. I'm shaken.
The taste of your lips burned into my mind.

A child. A child. I was only a child.
I'm screaming aloud. And so were you.
Did you know what you were hurting, doing
To me, my body, my life, my soul?

Your memory, you haunt me. I can't forgive you,
You opened up something I can never turn back.
I hope one day you will come back and tell me
That you wished to undo what you did that day.

Promises

By now we should have written a song
And sang it in the rain.
By now we should have crossed the world,
And twice around again.

By now we should have made new plans
To finish our last dance.
By now we should have caught a wave
To gamble our last chance.

By now we should have walked the beach
A million steps we'd take.
By now we should have fed the world
A billion things we'd bake.

By now you promised me we'd see
The sun, the stars and moon.
By now we could have sailed across
The sky in one balloon.

And yet you still tell me this day
More things we should have done.
Of all you've promised me thus far
Fulfilled you have not one.

Handsome Perfection

His body glistened in the sunlight.
As he stares at the roaring blue.
What he's thinking I can not fathom.
The universe reflected through his eyes.

Still he looks upon the ocean.
Not a blink has crossed his eyes.
How deep in thought I do not know.
A world all of his own.

The water hops off of his skin.
The sun rays dance around him.
Buried deep in sand his feet,
And speckles upon his body.

Through my eyes he's handsome perfection,
No better a man can be.
I love him so, and this he knows
Forever mine he'll be.

Flower Child

Safe she cuddles inside the only world she knows.
Carassing the soft satin that encloses around her.
This is all she experiences and all she wishes to experience.
She is a flower child, inside and out.

Gentle breezes rock her in her slumber.
The warm sun beams through with light.
Small drops of dew in the morning dance around her.
She stretches herself to the sky.

Quiet is her every surrounding.
Not a care or hurt crosses her mind.
She lives in peace, tucked far away.
Hidden from a world she's never known.

But there comes a day where everything changes.
A sudden moment and everything drifts away.
The shell gets cracked and out she falls.
Into a place she could never imagine.

No longer safe inside her skin of satin.
She experiences a world so different from her own.
The sun shines brighter, the rain drops bigger.
The wind quickly carries her away.

She lands on earth she's never encountered.
A strange new sight she's never seen.
She stretches again and looks to heaven.
A new life she starts again.

At first she fumbles, gets lost in the crowd.
She soaks up only what they leave behind.
Withered and weak she seeks new land.
New friends to guide her along.

She finds her right path, her place in this world.
At last she arrives into a place she can rest.
She sticks in her roots and grows tall as can be.
She truly is a flower child, through and through.

Your Own History

I write the history
I wish the world to remember.
Leave it to someone else
And the stories all change.

What I see through my eyes
I can't see through yours.
And your eyes will never
Understand through me.

History it blows
Changing like the wind.
The good become bad
While the bad, understanding.

Be the history you want to make
And write what you want to take.
Don't let someone else
Tell your life story.

She'll Never Know

Her name, Ever Silent.
My voice hushed,
She'll never know.

Her chestnut Hair blowing in the wind.
At the drive by. On the highway.
With the top off.

She turns the wheel.
My heart skips a beat.
A slight brush, a sudden rush.

And she'll never know.

I want to believe there's something more in her smile.
Something more in her voice.

Telling me yes.
Telling me to make my move.

But I won't. I can't.

And she'll never know.

Earth Coloured Eyes

She said to him
"You have eyes the colour of earth."
He laughed
"Only you would say that."

You always did bring out the best in me.

The big city lights and
The restless nights come and wither
Away, but you're home with me.

Safe with me. Here with me.

Even though you're miles
Away, light years away,
Far away. You've never been so close.

He said he would come back.
"You're my girl, I could never leave forever."
She kisses him back.
"You'll never really leave."

Three years ago today,
He still hasn't left. Not really
Left, but tomorrow he comes home.

She still whispers to him, to you
I do still see you, feel you, remember you.
The day you left, the day you never
Really went away.

The day I both lost and found you.
Found your life, your soul, myself.

My country.

I saw it all in you, through you, from you
From him. She learned it all from him.

From his earth coloured eyes.

I Still Love You

Four mouths are left crying.
They hunger in pain.
My husband he's somewhere
Getting smashed up again.

He cares not to help me
Brings back what he will.
Returns with the money
What's left from his fill.

Another inside me.
I can not provide.
I can't bring another
In this I confide.

You'll never know suffering.
Like the one I live through.
You'll be better this way
Remember I still love you.
